Terms & Conditions
Last updated 27 July 2026. These terms apply to every booking made with My Abu Dhabi Holidays, whether for a tour package, a desert safari, a city tour, a transfer, a dhow cruise or any other service listed on this site.
1. Travel insurance, please read this first
Every traveller must hold their own valid travel insurance for the full duration of their trip. This is a condition of booking with us, not an optional extra. My Abu Dhabi Holidays does not provide travel, medical, or personal accident insurance to guests on any tour, safari, transfer or activity, and none of the prices shown on this site include insurance of any kind unless explicitly stated.
Important: which of our activities carry vehicle insurance, and which do not
Insurance coverage genuinely differs between our services, and we would rather explain this plainly than let you assume otherwise:
- Quad bikes: the quad bikes used on our Abu Dhabi Quad Bike Rental experience are not insured. This is standard across quad bike operators in the UAE. You ride at your own risk, and any injury, damage or loss is not covered by us or the quad supplier.
- Dune buggies: the same applies to our Abu Dhabi Buggy Rental experience. Dune buggies are not insured vehicles, and most operators across the UAE, ourselves included, do not offer buggy insurance.
- Dune bashing (4x4 desert driving): the off-road dune bashing portion of our desert safaris is not covered by vehicle insurance. This applies to our Evening, Morning, Overnight, Private, Liwa and all other desert safari experiences wherever dune bashing is included.
- On-road transport: our road-going vehicles, meaning airport transfers, city tours, the Abu Dhabi to Dubai transfer, and the on-road portions of any journey, are covered by standard UAE third party motor insurance, as required by law for any licensed vehicle driven on public roads.
Because quad biking, buggy driving and dune bashing are inherently higher risk, off-road activities without vehicle insurance, we require every guest taking part to hold personal travel insurance that covers adventure or off-road activities. It is your responsibility to check that your policy covers the specific activity you are booking before you travel. We are happy to describe any activity in detail so you can confirm this with your insurer.
If you are unsure whether your existing travel insurance covers a specific activity, please ask us before booking, and we will describe the activity honestly so you can check with your insurer. We reserve the right to decline participation in any activity if a guest cannot confirm adequate insurance cover, particularly for quad biking, buggy driving and dune bashing.
2. Booking and payment
- Bookings are confirmed once we have received your details on WhatsApp or email and issued a written quote, and once any required deposit or full payment has been received.
- Prices quoted are per the terms stated on the relevant service page at the time of booking, in AED unless otherwise agreed, and are confirmed in writing before payment is taken.
- Where a price excludes VAT, this is stated clearly on the relevant page, and UAE VAT at the prevailing rate (currently 5%) is added at the time of booking.
- For airport transfers and time-sensitive pickups, a minimum of three hours' notice is required. Same day bookings cannot always be guaranteed.
- Full payment is required in advance unless a specific payment arrangement has been agreed with us in writing.
3. Cancellation policy
Cancellation terms depend on what you have booked. The two standard policies are:

- Cancellations must be made in writing, by WhatsApp or email, and are effective from the time we confirm receipt, not from the time you send the message.
- Where a booking includes third party suppliers (hotels, attraction tickets, desert safari operators), their own cancellation terms may apply in addition to ours, and we will make these clear at the time of booking where they differ from the terms above.
- No shows, and cancellations made after the windows above, are non-refundable.
- We recommend that your personal travel insurance includes cancellation cover, particularly for package bookings made more than 30 days in advance.
4. Conduct, fitness and suitability
- Guests must follow the safety instructions of drivers, guides and activity staff at all times. We reserve the right to remove any guest from an activity without refund if their conduct puts themselves or others at risk.
- Some activities, including dune bashing, quad biking, buggy driving and camel riding, are not suitable for guests with certain medical conditions, pregnant guests, or young children below stated minimum ages. Age and health restrictions are noted on the relevant service page; please check before booking and disclose any relevant condition to us in advance.
- It is the guest's responsibility to arrive on time for scheduled pickups. Late arrival resulting in a missed pickup is treated as a no show under our cancellation policy.
5. Liability
My Abu Dhabi Holidays takes reasonable care in selecting licensed drivers, guides and operating partners, and in providing accurate information about each activity. However:
- We are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from off-road activities including dune bashing, quad biking and buggy driving, beyond what is required by UAE law, given the uninsured nature of these specific activities as set out in Section 1.
- We are not liable for delays, cancellations or changes caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including weather, flight delays, road closures or government restrictions.
- Where a service is delivered by a third party operating partner, that operator's own terms, conditions and safety standards apply alongside ours.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UAE law.
6. Pricing and currency
- All prices on this site are in UAE Dirhams (AED) unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are reconfirmed in writing at the time of booking and may differ from indicative prices shown on this website if availability, season or group size has changed.
- Where a price excludes VAT, this is stated on the relevant page.
7. General
- My Abu Dhabi Holidays is a DCT Abu Dhabi licensed tour operator and travel agent, based at 11th Floor, Al Wahda Tower, Abu Dhabi.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- We may update these terms from time to time; the version shown on this page at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
