Yes, entry to the mosque itself is free for all visitors. What you're paying for on this tour is the private transfer, guide and the convenience of correctly timed, hassle free access.
What is the dress code for the Grand Mosque?
Modest dress covering shoulders and knees for everyone, and a headscarf for women. If you arrive in something that doesn't meet the code, free abayas are available on site, so there's no need to buy anything in advance.
How much time should I allow for the mosque?
This tour allows around two to two and a half hours at the mosque itself, enough to properly see the main prayer hall, courtyard and grounds without feeling rushed. A quick stop on a busier multi-stop tour usually gives you thirty to forty minutes, noticeably less.
Is the mosque closed at certain times?
Yes, it closes to non worshippers during prayer times, and non-Muslim visitors currently cannot access the main prayer hall on Friday mornings. We schedule pickups around these windows so you're never turned away.
Is this a good option for a cruise ship stopover?
